Proverbs 11:8

“The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.”

Jesus has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. As the three Hebrews (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) testified, God might deliver them from the fire alive, but if not, at least they are delivered from the hands of the cruel king. Troubles and toils are not the end of the story for The Lord’s people. They will be carried home away from all sorrow.

The wicked will ultimately be brought down by their own devices as Haman and his gallows in the book of Esther. Paul teaches us that the wicked fit themselves to destruction. They are clearly guilty and will suffer for eternity in the same manner they have caused others to suffer.
