“Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation,” (Luke 2:29-30)
Oh that all of God’s people could find the comfort that Simeon found as he held Jesus at only 40 days old!
Simeon did not just see the possibility of salvation. He saw that salvation was complete in Jesus Christ! This was while the Redeemer was but babe in his arms.
What more proof do we need that salvation is complete in Jesus Christ? He does not need our permission, will, or works. He is the Great Redeemer all by Himself!
