The First Recorded Miracle

20 June 2014

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him." (John 2:1-11)

There are many books out there that claim to be lost books of the Bible or additional testimonies of Who Jesus truly is. The best way to see if these writing are truly the word of God is to compare them to what we know to be Scripture, the Bible.

One of these spurious writings is called "The Infancy Gospel of Thomas." In this book, this person named Thomas claims to record miracles that Jesus performed as a child including killing another child who had ran into Jesus!

We need not fret ourselves over the validity of this obvious fiction. The Gospel According to John has stood the test of time proving itself to be the very word of God. And John records for us the first public miracle of Jesus. He turned water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana of Galilee.

Incidentally, in a vain attempt to show that "allah" is superior and separate from Christ, the Koran quotes passages from this "gospel" of Thomas. In doing so, the Koran proves itself to also be fiction!
