Romans 1:22 "Wise Fools"

30 December 2016

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,” (Romans 1:22)

Being an atheist is a popular thing, especially in the halls of higher education. It seems the more a person can belittle God and Christianity, the more intelligent other atheists think he is.

The problem is - they are actually showing themselves to be fools!

The context of this verse teaches that ALL MANKIND has an innate knowledge that there is a God. This is evident from logical reasoning. If an object exists, it had to come from somewhere. Objects exist. Therefore, there must be a Creator!

This is the logic that is in all humans. When a person argues that there is no God, he is actually arguing with himself against this innate logic. Therefore, not only do his arguments sound foolish, his own brain is calling him a fool!
“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” (Psalm 14:1a)
